Food & treats for your baby shower: 4 delicious recipes for your baby party menu

Make your baby-party a success with delicious food

The baby-party tradition originally comes from the USA and is also referred to as a baby shower there. The English name comes from the fact that the Mum ought to be showered with gifts and attention before the little one arrives and the stressful times begin. The baby-party tradition is now also in fashion in Germany. It takes place about two months before the due date. The baby-party is often organised by a friend or relative of the mum-to-be in order to ease the work of the expectant mother. Little gifts such as, for example, dummy chains, baby clothes or toys are very popular. The guests can also contribute to the success of the party with delicious food. It's important that the snacks and drinks don't contain any ingredients which could be detrimental to the pregnancy, e.g. alcohol, raw egg or rare meat. We've put together a few handy baby-party recipes.
